Laajalahti Library Closes for Renovation from October 3

Laajalahti Library in Espoo will temporarily close from October 3 to December 7, 2026, for interior renovations. During this period, library services such as borrowing, returning, and collecting reserved items will be unavailable. The renovation involves renewing the flooring on the upper floor and repairing wall cracks, identified during a previous air quality survey. Patrons are advised to freeze reservations or change pickup locations via the Helmet online library. Nearby libraries, such as Sello, Otaniemi, and Tapiola, will remain open for service. The library is expected to reopen on December 7, 2026.
