Viherlaakso residents can now easily participate in local clean-up efforts
The Viherlaakso Clean-up station provides residents with tools to collect litter at their convenience, enhancing local environmental efforts.
Residents of Viherlaakso can now actively participate in keeping their area clean with the help of a new Clean-up station. Introduced last autumn, the station offers rubbish bags and litter pickers that can be borrowed freely. This initiative allows locals to collect litter during their daily routines, such as while walking or spending time outdoors. The Viherlaaksolaiset residents’ association maintains the station, ensuring supplies are replenished with the city's support. Positive feedback has highlighted the need for smaller rubbish bags and more accessible dog waste bags. Similar stations have been set up in other parts of Espoo, including Matinkylä and Leppävaara, to encourage community involvement in environmental care.
